About Sewickley Veterinary Hospital

Sewickley Veterinary Hospital is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care to Sewickley, Baden, Ambridge, Edgeworth, Glenfield, Emsworth, Ben Avon, Avalon and Bellevue.  We are conveniently located to most communities in the Pittsburgh Metropolitan area.

We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local speciality veterinarians when advanced diagnostic procedures are required. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray capabilities and a closely supervised hospitalization area.

At Sewickley Veterinary Hospital we strive to offer not only sound advice, but also optimal veterinary care, thus allowing you the enjoyment of your companion for a maximum number of years. Our job is not only to treat your pet when he or she isn't feeling well, but also to help you learn how to keep your best friend happy and healthy.

Starting with your first visit to Sewickley Veterinary Hospital, our staff is committed to providing the best possible care for your pet.  Big or small, slow or fast, young or "experienced", getting to know your pet begins with his or her overall health.  The physical examination that accompanies this history taking will allow the doctor to assess your pet's physical health on the day of the appointment.  Combining the information from the medical history and the physical examination will allow the veterinarian to provide a treatment plan for your pet.  For young healthy pets, this may include vaccinations and deworming medication.  For healthy "experienced" pets, other tests or medication may be recommended based on the finding of the day.  To assist us in making your pet's visit as informative and helpful as possible, please bring any medical records, vaccination paperwork, or medications that he or she is currently taking.  If you have any question about what to bring to the appointment, please feel free to call and our staff will assist you.
